What happens when you ask eleven world-class fine art photographers to help define “character” in the USA? The answer is “The Character Project”, a collection of photographs that helped USA Network bring it’s tagline “Characters Welcome” to life and that provided the creative content for a year-long on and off-air branding campaign. The campaign also included a coffee table book called “American Character” with an introduction by Tom Brokaw, a multi-city exhibition tour, a special Vanity Fair supplement, promotional spots of the photographers on assignment, a national outdoor advertising campaign and a dedicated website to pull it all together.
